Join us for launch to celebrate Gertie's inaugural print edition by Leonardo Kaplan. Process/Process are proud collaborators with the artist and Gertie, a growing platform for contemporary art in Chicago.
At Gertie's Hub, Kaplan will be in conversation with artist Ben Foch, a longstanding interlocutor in his life and work. .Their dialogue will explore the varying facets in the life of artists who have continued to work in Chicago across generations and exhibition models, tracing the symbiotic relationship between artist run projects, the commercial ecosystem, and institutional affiliation. Kaplan's work was included in the recent exhibition City In a Garden: Queer Art & Activism in Chicago at the Museum of Contemporary Art (curated by Jack Schneider).
About the Print
"Auspicious Arrival", an edition of 50, is borne out of Gertie's longstanding relationship with Process/Process, and our shared commitment to artists who live and work in Chicago.
