Print Launch: Mari Eastman
Process/Process is pleased to release a new limited edition woodblock print with Mari Eastman in a one night event at Soccer Club Club. Join us to celebrate with curated drinks and music.
Mari Eastman is a painter based in Chicago, known for her “off-hand intimacy,” with subjects like models, friends, animals, and flowers. This new woodblock print draws on the artist’s penchant for brushy color work–characterized by one critic as a kind of “traffic”–and affective scale and image. Full details about the print will be released on the occasion of its launch September 5, when it will also be for sale on our website. For an advance preview or for inquiries, please contact hello@process-process.com.
Soccer Club Club is located 2923 N Cicero Ave, Chicago.
This event is free and open to the public.
Mari Eastman holds an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. She has exhibited at the Hammer Museum (Los Angeles), Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, The Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angles), The Orange County Museum of Art (Newport Beach), Cherry and Martin Gallery (Los Angeles), Victoria Miro (London), Colette (Paris), Barbara Gladstone Gallery (New York), the Berkeley Museum of Art, and numerous other venues. Her work has been included in such publications as Modern Painters, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Flash Art, The New Yorker, and on artforum.com. Eastman lives and works in Chicago, and this is her first print with Process/Process.
